His Stand, Star Platinum, is essentially a projection of his inner strength and willpower. It punches hard, fast, and is noted to have very keen senses; vision, reflexes, accuracy, that sort of thing. Star Plat's power is said to be a reflection of Jotaro's ability to remain calm under fire.

Working in tandem with his ridiculous size (fucking seriously, how is he this gigantic??) is his mental acuity. He's been noted as being fairly intelligent, quick-witted, level-headed and observant. As a result, he tends to pick up on minor details, stating that when something bothers him, he loses sleep over it. This, he blames on his childhood love of Columbo. He's probably totally just a huge nerd.

Moving on, Jotaro has no professional training in any form of martial arts. He's the kind of guy who's learned how to fight - and even then, it's only marginally well, enough to get him through casual brawls ala your typical thug - through experience alone. Up until now, he's depended heavily on his sheer size and typically brute forces it to the point where some thugs he's previously fought were put in hospital indefinitely. He doesn't fight to show off his skill. He fights to win.

His Stand, unfortunately, isn't any less relentless.



A Stand, in short, is a summonable guardian spirit sort of deal, and is controlled as well as sustained by the user's will. Typically, only other users and those with a baseline spiritual awareness are capable of seeing them.

Jotaro's Stand, Star Platinum is a close-range Stand, capable only of operating within a two to three meter radius of Jotaro himself. It has three very noticeable stats: strength, speed and precision. It hits hard, at lightning speeds, and also moves with enough precision to catch a bullet at point blank range.

It's a formidable foe to most, but beyond what's already been mentioned, isn't capable of much else. Additionally, in canon, it's been stated that only other Stands can attack (and therefore have any chance of beating) other Stands. I understand this would be super boring to actually play out in RP, and so I'm broadening the scope to allow any sort of supernatural ability, such a conjured magic, to affect Star Platinum. But also keep in mind that as the Stand is linked to its user, injuries are reflected between the two, thus it isn't entirely necessary to defeat Star Platinum to take Jotaro out of the running. Targeting the user themselves is also a viable method when it comes to dealing with Stand users.
